| Can a high risk merchant survive without a provider? Is it really necessary to acquire a third party processor or get the help of high risk merchant account provider a default for those who wish set up business like digital downloads and dating websites? Or is there an alternative? |

Unfortunately due to the inherent risk associated with these kinds of accounts regular providers can't offer their services at competitive rates because they almost certainly would suffer loses due to chargebacks and fraud. That's why these kinds of businesses are forced to seek providers who charge premiums for their services.
